Cute

Attractive in a pretty or endearing way.

Here is my "Cute" for the day. It is also my holiday greeting for all the HS:MS photographers. I am wishing you all a beautiful holiday! *I hope your speakers are working as the song that accompanies the e-card below is very touching. It always makes my husband tear up.

Glow

To have an intense colour or slight shine. Find 'glow' in your space today.

Love Christmas lights. In the first one the mist on the window added a cool effect to the radiant glow of the bulbs outside. In the second one I realized I could see the reflection of our Christmas tree and took a couple to see what would happen. Kind of an interesting result.

SOS

This is a photo from a park called the Turtle Bay Exploration park. This photo features a cool tree sculpture and the glass surrounding it is see through and shows what the root system would look like. You can walk on it but it can give you a weird sense of walking on nothing. The glass panels in the background are a cool fountain.

Here is a second shot. I like the reflection of the tree in the puddle.

Moonlight(ing)

It gets dark so early at the moment, you can even see the moon during the daytime! Capture 'moonlight' in your space today.

We just had a new moon on Sunday so the moon won't be visible for several days. I did reminisce about a favorite television show from years back called Moonlighting. Do you remember it? Boy did I have a thing for for Bruce Willis as a teenager.

Since I don't have any moonlight I thought I could at least treat you to the amazing holiday light extravaganza from our neighborhood. The owners, of one of the houses which also has a monstrous red bard on the lot, go hog wild with the decorating. Pretty amazing since the couple happen to be in their lates 70's or early 80's and they do it all by themselves! Here are three shots in order to capture the panaromic view. You might want to put on your sunglasses!

Frosty

When a frost forms on surfaces. Show us 'frosty' in your space today.

These photos were actually taken in January of this year. I shared a second shot as the way the water froze was so odd and interesting.

Celebration

This is a bit hard to define, huh? Can you find a celebration in your space?

These are photos taken last New Years. The girls were celebrating by wearing shiny, sparkly hats with fun fringe of course. I tried to get the girls to put on these same hats this morning so that I could take comparison photos and post two sets, but they made it very clear they did not want these hats on their heads. It almost seems impossible that our little toddlers were still just babies last year. They climb and run and hop now. They move so fast you can't even get a good photo of them.

Christmas

I came up with a little something special for my Christmas image. This is an extra special Christmas surprise for Kirsty, Anita, Andrew and Suzy B. I thought you four would get a kick out of the little routine. If you want to see the whole dance routine in action click here.

Here are some still snap shots to amuse you too!

Chilly

Brrrrr - so feeling it here. Have you chilliness in your space?

I took three slightly different variations of the same photo. Which one do you think looks the most chilly? Why?

Cozy

This time of year calls for December environments - cozy being one of them. Find cozy in your space.

This is Marty our Christmas Moose cozying up under a nice soft blanket. If you give him a hug he'll even play some Christmas tunes for you.

SOS

This is a photo I took back in 1999 while I was in Paris. There was a major solar eclipse taking place. My boyfriend at that time was from the Netherlands. We had met up in London, he had then planned a surprise visit to Paris, before heading to the Netherlands. We were staying at a hotel right near Le Sacre Couer. The day of the eclipse we happened to snag a perfect spot sitting on top of a column near the top of the steps.
