Doc

Thought it might be fun to go back to our childhood's and use those old faithful Disney characters for a bit of photographic inspiration. We all know these characters I'm sure and I bet a lot of us have them around the house in many different guises. For those that like a challenge, interpret the prompts in whichever way you wish, but for days when the old grey matter just wont work, if you have this particular character in your space, just snap it as it is - an easy get out!

First up, those little dudes that were so kind to Snow White... Our first dwarf is Doc...

My left index finger saw a lot of these two items the last several days. On Sunday my poor finger was slammed by a sliding screen door hard enough to crack the nail dead center, cause bleeding and then enough pain that I actually passed out with my hand in the sink under cold running water. We actually had family over that day for a combo birthday party for my twin daughters and a Mother's Day get-together. There was some real concern about me passing out twice and almost a third time, but there were also jokes about how this was the only way I could get a break and the time to lay down. My 2 year old daughters were very concerned about mommy but once I got off the kitchen floor and laid in the living room they decided it was fun to go get blankets and play nighty night with me on the floor.

Race

A competition to see who is the fastest. Find a race in your space today.

This is our dog Shanti trying out a Lure Course. This is where a dog runs through an obstacle course chasing a white piece of cloth that is moving very fast along a moving white rope/string all while being timed. Any dog that has a strong chase instinct will usually just do it - no real training involved. Our dog took to it quickly but we only tried it out for fun. Some people actually compete in this type of thing.

Remember

Have in your mind an awareness of something or someone you have seen, known or experienced. Show 'remember' in your space today.

An aunt did some family research quite a number of years ago. I received a copy from my mom of a chart that shows the history of my great grandma's family. My great-great-grandfather was William Roberts, a merchant, and was born on March 27, 1863 in Dozington, Worc, England. (We actually think this should have been Dorsington - but maybe those of you from Great Britain can clarify.) His parents were Abel Roberts and Ellen Ross. My great-great-grandmother was Sarah Briggs and was born on March 17, 1968 in Accrington, Lncshr, England. Her parents were James Briggs and Bettsy Fielding. My great great grandparents relocated to the United States and lived in Utah. My great-great-grandmother had her first child in 1886 at the age of 17 years old. She had her 16th child in 1912 at the age of 44 years old (this blows me away - 16 children and that she kept having them from 17 - 44 years of age.) My great grandmother Ida Roberts was their 10th child and was born in 1901. My middle name is Ida after her.
