Cake

A sweet little celebration - have you got cakes? (Course you have cakes!)



These are from my daughters play kitchen. The box of cake mix is tiny - only about 3 inches tall. The treats are a bit cake-like. I knew better than to go looking for real cake because then I might be tempted to "taste" it.

Surprise

A reaction to something unexpected, have you had any suprises of late?





I was surprised to learn that the largest bat called the Flying Fox has a wing span of 6 ft! Imagine one of those flying by you at night - yikes! And the smallest bat is called the Bumble Bee bat and has a tiny wingspan of only 5 inches. Nature is amazing!

Tower

A tall narrow construction, either free standing or forming a part of a building. Find a 'tower' in your space today.



So many choices for this one. Decided to go with a natural tower formation. This particular one is called the Three Sisters and resides in Arches National Park in Utah.

Fungus

Mold, yeast, mushrooms, toadstools. Show us 'fungus' in your space!

Cuddle

Intrude

Burning a candle in my work space today creates a cozy feeling and smells good too!

Hole

A hollow place in a solid body or surface. Find a hole in your space today.



This funny fortune telling ball actually belongs to a coworker. You ask Dr. Freud a question, shake the ball and then look through the hole on the other side to see what Dr Freud recommends. The response to my question was to "Talk about your mother." Now if you would like to ask your own question in the comments section I will shake the ball for you and post the responses back in the comment section. Could be very interesting!

Humility

(The list of Virtues I had been checking had Patience, not Forgiveness listed. I had to do most of my photos in advance because my husband has needed the camera.) So here is my version of Patience (and forgiveness is involved as it is so easy to be unforgiving of oneself when you gain weight.)

I really like giving things away. I much prefer to give stuff away then to sell it. I have been giving things away left and right the past several months too. Some stuff has been donated to Salvation Army. I also have a friend who met a woman who had recently moved from Las Vegas to a town near us that gets lots of snow. She didn't even have a jacket - just a sweater - and was so unprepared to live in such cold weather. I gave her a huge bag of really nice warm clothing, scarves, hats and such. I am blessed with an abundance of such stuff and it does my heart good to see someone who really needs it put it to good use. I also have been giving away baby furniture, clothing, shoes and toys to a couple of family members with babies and a co-worker who is expecting. It feels great to pass things along that people can use right now.

Temperance

Pride

Gluttony

Lust

Lust or lechery - usually thought of as involving obsessive or excessive thoughts or desires of a sexual nature - show us Lust in your space.

SPS Two

Discovered a little twist this morning to the SPS promp. I had already posted my SPS last night. So here is a portrait of someone else now. I took this way back in 1985 while in high school while I was in a B&W photography class. We learned how to unroll and re-roll film in the light proof bags onto a new spool and how to develop our own film and photos in the small darkroom. I really loved that class and the instructor was great.

Anyhow - this is a photo of my niece Melissa that I developed all on my own once upon a time.

Thought I would share some glamour photos from the past. These were all taken in about 1991. If only I had someone to do my hair and makeup for me all the time like the rich and famous. Oh and to be that thin again would be great too!
