This is how one feels after going to the doctor with two toddlers and the appt takes an hour and a half. They cry while getting their exams and they really cry when each one gets three shots. Both my husband and I felt like we'd been through the ringer when we left the doctor office.



This is what one looks like after the girls have been fed, played with, bathed and put to bed and I have taken a dose of medication. Just kidding about drugging myself. Just taking some deep breaths, meditating and wishing my husband would finish up in the bathroom so I can take a nice hot bath.

I couldn't find any good alleys to photograph today so I resorted to looking through some old photos. This is an old photo from when I lived in Aix-en-Provence in the south of France. I studied there for 3 semesters. The entrance to my first apartment is actually in this alley. We thought it was incredibly charming at first until we began to see how other students were living. We then learned we were living in a bit of a dump. So naive at the time.

Some time ago this white spot showed up near my eye and would not go away. Last Friday I finally saw a dermatologist. It was a little something called a milia (aka a cyst) Anyways with a quick slice of his blade and some pinching with tweezers (OUCH) it was removed - hurray!

Several weeks back someone accessed my paypal account and used it to make purchases of on-line downloadable video games. The total in charges came to $120.00. Well my account is linked direct to my checking account. What a DISTURBING surprise! Eventually the charges were reversed and things were resolved. But I did close my Paypal account as I question the security of their business.

Anxious

I work for a non-profit adoption agency. All the children we help to place with families for adoption are in the California foster system. Here is one of the posters in our office that states "118,000 children in foster care dream of a permanent, loving family." It is sad that so many thousands of children experience neglect and/or abuse. So many cases are due to the results of parental drug abuse.

On the up side we do get to be on the positive side of helping to find these children permanent families.
