This photo was taken in August of 2005 while camping in Colorado.

We saw the most amazing wildlife while staying here. Each night a beaver came to the same spot to eat and groom. There was another location where we saw foxes three days in a row. One was curious about our car and circled it. He then laid directly in front of us, his head resting on his paws - so cute. There were also muskrats swimming around every night. One of the evenings I heard a lone wolf howl - so amazing.

I hardly ever use my cell phone but here is a picture of it. My husband and I finally resorted to getting them when our twins were on the way. Here is my soap box perspective about cell phones and cars - I believe that talking on a cell phone while driving should be illegal. I see too many inattentive drivers who are more into their phone than operating their car. What is sooo important that it can't wait until you get to your destination? Or if it is that urgent - pull over and park.

I love this campaign called Drive Now, Talk Later that is being run by these two radio talk show hosts whose program is appropriately called Car Talk on NPR (national public radio.) Here is a little what they have to say about cell phone use in cars:
"Sick and tired of having your life endangered by drivers who are too self-important to put their phones down and pay attention to the road? So are we. The odds that you'll slam your jalopy into some other hapless driver--or your local guardrail--increase 400 percent when a cell phone is being used. Those are about the same odds as having an accident as when you're legally drunk. Driving and Talking is dangerous. We know it. You know it. Even the cell phone industry flacks know it, though they'll never admit it."
